Match Preview ACLTwo MD3 Group H | Selangor FC vs Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC | Big Match Against The Green Warriors

Today, Selangor FC will complete the first round of the AFC Champions League Two (ACL2) 2024/25 Group H, against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC at 8pm tonight (local time), at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya, Malaysia.

Selangor FC have been drawn in Group H with three clubs from three different countries, Muangthong United F.C. (Thailand), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (Republic of Korea) and Dynamic Herb Cebu FC (Philippines) to compete in Group H of ACL2.

So far, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors leads Group H with six full points, followed by Selangor FC in second place with four points, then Muangthong United F.C. with one point and Cebu F.C. in fourth place.

According to Nidzam Jamil, Head Coach of Selangor FC, he is confident that the players who have been listed are able to compete with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors F.C. in the match to determine the top position of Group H for the first round.

“I think collectively as a team, we look forward to going against one of the big giants in Korea. Of course, we are aware that they have scored 10 goals in two matches in ACLTwo 2024/25 but we also are doing fine in the league with 39 goals, I’m not saying we are good but I believe we can give a good fight for them in the match this evening.

“Despite the fact that we are missing our Captain, Safuwan Baharudin, the Vice-captain, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, and a few players who might not join us due to injury but I think the situation is quite normal in football, every club faces this situation at some point. For me, the other players are waiting for this opportunity to get more minutes under their belt and I believe they will give a good performance as Red Giants players,” says Nidzam firmly in the press conference.

As for the players update, Mukhairi Ajmal is still undergoing rehabilitation on his injury, Safuwan Baharudin is also unable to play due to his injury and Noor Al-Rawabdeh who has been diagnosed with a ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) two days ago.

The management of Selangor FC is confident that the team will give a good competition to the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors F.C. team this evening with the support from the fans who will be present at the Stadium later. Let’s do this, Red Giants!
